You’ll hardly notice cold wind or driving rain when you’re wearing these ECWCS Gore-tex® military issue pants. These cold weather trousers are made from 3-layer nylon and laminated with PTFE, leaving them waterproof, yet breathable. There are reinforced seat and knee patches for extra protection.
To ensure that the pants stay sealed and weatherproof, there is an elastic drawcord at the waist, snap closure over the fly, pass through pockets, and Velcro® adjustable hems. The leg seams are zippered at the bottom to allow the wearer to put them on and take them off without removing boots. It’s foul weather protection that won’t slow you down.
These pants are the outermost layer of the US Military’s obsolete 5 layer cold weather clothing system.
